This weekend’s New York Times has a great article on Jeff Liao, a photographer who takes urban panoramas. His photos capture light and details that can’t be captured in a single exposure. Sometimes he takes “a couple of hundred” frames of scenes like Times Square where only a sliver of pedestrians are in sharp focus, while the backgrounds goes soft.
